Cheshire Cat
This Mask represents a fictional cat, based on " Alice's adventures in  Wonderland". Novel written in 1865 by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson ( Lewis Carroll) . Cheshire was used the first time to performance the play  at Salk Middle School and continues his performances in different events

La Cucaracha Martina
This mask was based in the Portorican Folktale "Perez and Martina" wrote by Pura Belpré (1899-1982)
The cockroach Martina was exhibit in Borimix 2010 and performance at the same time in opening exhibit.

This  character was created to performance at the Parade for the First Night event in Boston, he is  a big head  monster  but at the same time friendly, shy  and cute. He inspired  lot  compassion especially from children when he visits their schools.  I feel fortunate when people make a connection with the story for children "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak. The truth is I knew the story  after my work was done.
